So dangerous that employees of the U S Corporation Government arent even allowed to legally enter LUCKY US we are master less RONIN without allegiance and answer to no man or woman or trans No TAXCO is not the company where you go to find out how much money the I R S wants to steal from you this year TAXCO is in fact a remote mountainous city located deep within the rugged hills of central Mexico This city was simply a pleasure to visit Every building is painted white with orange tiled roofs The streets are very narrow and maze like with high walls This makes it rather easy too get lost but in the best way possible See every corridor in Taxco leads too an alcove filled with art or bustling little markets of high energy street vendors selling fruits flowers and all manner of goods you dont need but sure do want Not only are all the buildings white but so are all the taxis In fact the taxis are painted white classic VW BUGS and for once even a taxi is a welcome site Speaking of taxis why the hell would you ever want one in this city Walking around is 90 of the fun and 100 of the exercise Taxco is built into a ravine surrounded by high mountains and all narrow streets seem to lead into narrower steps that just go UP UP UP This lovely combination of thin labyrinthine streets mixed with glistening white buildings and bright orange roofs could only remind me of one other city on earth SUCRE BOLIVIA Sucre literally known as the white city of Bolivia is surely Taxcos younger hotter sister While there is no official connection between these two cities in two very different countries in Latin America the similarities are staggering Taxco has a more broken down feel that incredibly only seems too escalate its charm This feels like a city lost in the winds of time unaffected by change Even the CRISTO ON THE HILL looks run down and long over due for some love This large Christ statue is like Taxcos version of Rio De Janerios Christ The Redeemer Taxcos Christ is missing a hand has a huge crack in the back of his neck and has surely seen better days yet strangely this disrepair matches the rest of the city and multiplies its rugged appeal Puffing on a watermelon flavored E CIG under the mantle of this Christ felt like a WATERED DOWN but still too fun version of our epic day smoking cigars under the worlds biggest Buddha in Leshon China The trek up too the Christ from the city center is an adventure in itself Along the way we stopped to catch a school girls soccer game at a high school Speaking of school girls two separate times large groups of them yelled happy cheers and whoots at us one time a big group yelled WE LOVE YOU before giggling off down the trail Welcome to Taxco Mexico life is GOOD in a remote Mexican villa drenched in dirty white the dirtiest white of course being US The only contrast I found to this was Taxcos deeply tanned and wonderfully well preserved main baroque cathedral the heart of intricate beauty that centers the city from every angle It is the most impressive church I have seen so far in Mexico and an omen that even in sea of dirty white you can always find something clean sexy and tan MEXICO TAXCO GUERRERO
